The following is a true story about just one of the hundreds of past life regressions I have facilitated during the last ten years. I have witnessed hundreds of people releasing trauma and creating positive change in their lives as a result of these sessions. I have seen clients not only remember the lifetime, but relive the events and feelings, calling up deep wells of emotion. This kind of catharsis and understanding, along with the spiritual healing included in these sessions, clear the stuck issues and allow clients to move forward in this lifetime, healed of the cellular memories.
I have written a more detailed article on past life regressions, which will appear in the December 2012 issue of Be Well Magazine. You can read it online then at www.bewellworld.com.
Dean was about to take a vacation with his wife where he would be flying to a distant island. He hadn’t flown in years because of a fear of flying. He came to me asking to do a past life regression to see if his fear had roots from any experience from a previous lifetime.
During his past life regression, Dean relived a lifetime where he was an insurance salesman in Pennsylvania in the mid-50s. He left his family to fly to Ohio on business. He could see a name and logo on the napkin that was served to him with his drink; an airline no longer in existence. He had a strong memory of the sound of the engine as it began to fail. He felt the plane jerk, shutter, and finally careen out of the sky to the ground, where he died.
After his session, Dean went home and searched on the internet to see what he could find. Lo and behold, he found references to an airline that flew in the 50s between Pennsylvania and Ohio, and saw that the insignia was the same as the one he saw on his napkin in his regression. He also found a newspaper article citing a crash that sounded exactly like the one that came from his memory.
Had he actually been on that airplane or was he dredging up old fears coming from an article that he may have read in National Geographic in 4th grade?
The answer is that it doesn’t matter because a few weeks after his session he successfully boarded the plane to the island with his wife, and had a great, stress-free vacation.
